It is intended to further develop the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right of self defense.

Students must bring their own handgun and ammunition.

The course teaches you the proper mind set and awareness required for effective self defense, plus the fundamentals of defensive marksmanship.

Strategies for home safety and provisions of the law pertaining to use of deadly force for self defense are also covered.

Levels of awareness, defensive mindset, and defensive accuracy are the focus of this day-long course. Shooters will learn to deal with the pressure of "stress fire" and how to compensate for the lack of fine motor skills under duress.

A certificate of training will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the course.
